Magnified Observations: The Art of the Wild
Collaborative project between Starlight Studio & Art Gallery and Lara Buckley of Hickory Urban Sanctuary
Throughout the growing season, the Starlight Artists visited Lara Buckley at Hickory Urban Sanctuary where they sketched plants, chickens and other wildlife. Poems were written and songs were sung too!
This experience was accentuated by Lara making art directly with the Starlight Artists in the Starlight Studio.
Come experience the magical things we created together at 3 separate events!
With Lara, the Starlight Artists created a sanctuary space that will be an audio visual experience to enter into. With a composed sound collage, lights and projections, things will feel pretty groovy. Andy, Kelly & Janet will be reciting poetry written and inspired on site; there will also be live music, a craft-making activity, and refreshments! This experience will then be re-created in a new setting when it moves to the Starlight Gallery for the opening on October 1st!
